Installing and Updating a Zendesk plug

Yetto is a help desk built to connect and communicate with other systems across your company. While Zendesk is help desk, it is also just another system that might exist within your company. For teams already using Zendesk, Yetto will integrate with it the same way we integrate with other tools, extending your ability to collaborate with your colleagues.

The Zendesk plug allows you to use Yetto as the connector to other internal teams while keeping Zendesk as your connection to customers. For teams already using Zendesk, this integration gives you all the power of Yetto without having to make a change to one of your core pieces of infrastructure.

Installing the Zendesk plug

Before starting this process, make sure that you have admin permissions in Zendesk. The set up process is done on behalf of an active Zendesk user and requires admin privileges to create a webhook and trigger.

  • Go to your inbox (https://web.yetto.app/orgs/[organization]/inboxes/[inbox]).
  • Go to the "plugs" tab in the inbox navigation bar (https://web.yetto.app/orgs/[organization]/inboxes/[inbox]/plugs).
  • Click on the "Install" button in the Zendesk row to install the Zendesk plug.
  • Enter your Zendesk instance's subdomain and click "Next."
  • Click "Authorize Yetto" to authorize Yetto to acceess you Zendesk account. This connects you to Zendesk as your Zendesk user, not as your organization or as an application.
  • Click "Allow" on the Zendesk authorization page.

  • Go to the "plugs" tab in the inbox navigation bar (https://web.yetto.app/orgs/[organization]/inboxes/[inbox]/plugs).
